RADIUSの位置付け

RADIUSはUDPを使用するAAA Protocolです。Authenticationでは通常UDP 1812、Accountingでは通常UDP 1813を使用します。

Authentication Method

aaa authentication login default group radius local

RADIUS MethodがERRORなら次のLocal Methodへ進めます。Credential RejectはFAILなのでLocalへ進みません。

RADIUSの保護範囲

RADIUSを「Packetがすべて平文」とは扱いません。Access-RequestではPasswordは保護されますが、TACACS+のようにHeader以外のPacket Body全体を暗号化する方式ではありません。

IOS XEをRADIUS ClientとしてManagement Authenticationへ組み込み、Named Server・Authentication/Accounting Port・Shared Secret・Method List・VerificationをTACACS+との差とともに判断できるようにする。
